Era tot mai convins că viaţa aceasta seamănă izbitor de mult cu o bombă, explodată nu se ştie când şi de ce, iar nimic nu mai poate reface bomba asta cum era ea înainte de a fi o bombă. Or, de ce să refaci, până la urmă, o armă de distrugere în masă, nu?

”Şi a continuat să mănânce hârtii, până când n-a mai rămas nici măcar vreo inimă de lemn în care să se poată odihni. Imediat după aceea, Întunericul Străluminos, Domnul vieţilor şi Al cărţilor, Izvorul şi omega empatiilor, a făcut ca toată deznădejdea, mult trâmbiţata înţelepciune, metaforele, copiii îmbătrâniţi şi cei nenăscuţi, metaforele, fobiile, orgoliile, animalele cu două sau mai multe picioare, capete etc., păsările în frunte cu corbii, papagalii şi porumbeii păcii sau ai compromisului, dar şi berzele vlăguite de şomaj, scânteile de glorie sau de uitare, dar şi lacrimile de puţine karate să rămână doar în cărţi şi în cuvântări înghiţite de eter – unele ca în iad, altele ca în rai, altele ca în out(ism).”
